AERIAL CLASSES

  • Explore a variety of aerial apparatus to condition your entire body. This strength-building class uses a mix of aerial equipment as well as floor drills. Open to all  levels! (yes, even absolute beginners, ESPECIALLY absolute beginners who are really excited to be not so absolute beginners as soon as possible.)

  • Aerial Silk (aka “fabric“ or “tissu”) is an aerial apparatus consisting of two pieces of fabric suspended from the ceiling. Silk classes will help you build upper body strength, increase flexibility and coordination. No worries if you have none of these skills. We will teach you all the basics needed to progress.

  • Aerial Hammock is a loop of fabric rigged from one point. It combines elements of strength, flexibility, and aerial technique, with an emphasis on smooth transitions and creative sequencing. This beginner-friendly apparatus offers extra support while building strength, as well as providing challenging and mindbending sequences for more advanced levels.

  • Aerial hoop  (aka Lyra or Circeau) is a circular steel apparatus suspended from the ceiling. In this class, students learn how to mount, balance, spin, and transition through poses inside, above, and below the hoop. The class builds upper body and core strength, coordination, and body awareness. Skills start close to the ground and progress to dynamic movements as strength and technique improve.

If you're new to aerial, begin with a Foundations or Open Level class

Skill progression takes time, proper technique is essential and we’re here to train safely and effectively. Signing up for a class beyond your skill level may result in having to sit out some or all of the material, and your class credit will not be refunded.

FAQ’s

  • Flexible, comfortable clothing. Feel free to wear something that makes you feel awesome :)

    PILATES

Form fitting clothing you can comfortably move in. We recommend staying away from overly loose/bulky clothing as it can get caught in the equipment and makes it harder for the instructor to correct your posture. No excessive jewelry

Pilates (grippy) socks are required, feel free to bring your own or really amazing ones can be purchased at our studio or here (link to merch)

    AERIAL

Form-fitting clothing that covers the backs of your knees and midriff. For some skills, it helps to have a layer that covers your armpits and upper arms, as well as socks.

    FLEX

Athletic clothing that stretches. Knee pads recommended for sensitive knees.

  • If a class is full, we recommend joining the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll be automatically added to the class (up to 3 hours before start time) and notified via the Arketa app.

If you can no longer attend, it’s your responsibility to remove yourself from the waitlist before being added. Once added, the 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

  • We start on time. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can settle in.

If you're arriving late, we’re sorry but unfortunately we won't be able to accommodate you. This is about safety, flow, and respect—for yourself, your instructor, and the group.

  • We encourage signing up in advance—classes fill up quickly.

Walk-ins are welcome if space allows. If you plan to drop in, please be sure to arrive 10 minutes before class start time to sign paperwork and get settled.

  • We recommend arriving dressed for class. The studio has unisex bathrooms available for changing. There are no showers on site.

  • We are located within the French Quarter — amidst magic, debauchery and extremely limited street parking. Street parking is mostly metered on our block. If you are driving, please be sure to allow ample extra time and consider parking outside of the Quarter.  Paid parking is always available at numerous parking garages in the immediate area.

  • Not at all! We are the solution.

  • We will help you.

  • Our 3-Hour Cancellation Policy allows us to survive as a business while ensuring classes are full for maximum fun vibes for everyone. Here's how it works:

    • Cancelling 3 or more hours prior to class — no penalty! Thanks for opening up your spot to someone who's excited to be in class.

    • Canceling less than 3 hours before will not result in a penalty, but you will lose this class credit.

    • Not showing up at all without canceling your reservation will incur a $10 penalty on top of forfeiting the class credit.

We understand that life happens, that Pilates is expensive, and that sometimes, despite our very best efforts, we just can't hack it that day. If it’s one of these days, please shoot us an email explaining your troubles, and we will do our very best to make an exception where an exception is due. At the end of the day, this policy is in place to mitigate flakiness, not punish genuine emergencies.

Thank you for respecting this policy so that Devotion Studios can continue to offer classes you love to a community that shows up for each other.
